June 21st.  Not only was this day in 2015 but it was also the Summer Solstice. It was the longest day of the year. I can’t help but feel as though every moment that passes after this point in the year is another step towards the end.  The end of summer, the end of life, the end of adventures and seasons in the sun.

The lyrics to an old song by

The Byrds:

To everything (Turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (Turn, turn, turn)
And a time to every purpose, under heaven

A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep

It certainly does seem that way doesn’t it? Life just rushes by us and sometimes we forget to enjoy the little moments in between the bigger ones.  Losing a loved one can change your perspective on life in general.  We learn to savor the little moments and we learn patience. Suddenly what “seemed” important in life is not really that significant any longer.

Time………….now is the time………it is time to appreciate……….to forgive………..to love…………..to enjoy.

Take the time today to …….smile, share and live!!

Little Princess went to her first official class setting. She was very good in her crate and waited her turn nicely. When it was her turn she was a star and very brave with the wobble board. The grab your collar game could use some work. We haven’t really trained that  much. In between turns I worked crate games with her and hand touches. We hadn’t really worked much shadow handling but she was so good at it in class. I was pleased. Note to self: Lainie has a sensitive stomach and I need to be careful of high value treats like the salmon I gave her that gave her diarrhea. We won’t do that again!

Well the storm hit and they canceled classes at Boomtowne. This was good for me since I had the ring all to myself. I took the young dogs to the facility. Pippin worked a little European handling. He needed a little work on bending around the jumps yet. This is still really good stuff since last year he was a bar knocker. We worked contacts quite a bit and weaves at a distance.

Baby Lainie got to work on the wobble board a second time. She really liked it.  Since she worried a bit on the flat teeter I want to gain her confidence on the wobble board first.  She walked the board and we did some jump bumps. We played crate games. Get in your crate and release out of the crate.

The 4 shelties and the 2 Min Pins went on the canal path today for over an hour running and playing in the snow
